Flag football
Flag football is a team sport derived from American football. Instead of tackling players to the ground, the defence must remove a flag from the belt of the ball carrier.
Each player is kitted out with a belt and two small flags, tight-fitting shorts and a jersey which must not cover the belt. Games are contested between two teams of five players.
Each game lasts 40 minutes and comprises two 20-minute halves. The game is stopped when the player carrying the ball loses at least one flag.
